{3} Develop a conservation management plan with recommendations for an effectively managed protected area network with local and government input and support

{4} Provide training and technical support for scientists and resource managers to devise, advocate and implement rigorous research and effective conservation interventions

{5} Foster support for cetacean conservation through community education programs, development of educational materials for dissemination through popular media, and workshops and meetings with government officials and NGO representatives

{6} Strengthen an existing cetacean monitoring program in Sundarban that uses information on cetacean sightings recorded systematically by the captains of The Guide Tours Ltd. tourist vessels

{7} Engage Forest Department officials and Navy and Coast Guard officers in implementation of the Cetacean Conservation and Protected Area Plan and development of a cetacean mortality and threat monitoring network.
